Observing Non-Airgun Folks Shooting and AIrgun

I am fortunate to have a range in my field behind my house. (Picture below) I shoot off the blue bench, off the deck and have targets at 15, 25, 50, 75, 100, and 125 yards. In .25 I have a Wildcat and a Brocock Sniper and shoot JSB Diablo in both rifle.. My son, with military experience, and his wife wanted to shoot the rifles and see how they work. I set up the bench rest and handed them the Wildcat. They started out at 25 were hitting their mark always. No challenge, so we moved to the 50. Same experience. To make this shorter after a short while they were hitting a life sized steel rat on top of the white barrel looking thing. They were doing it consistently. We had no wind.

I bit later we came back out and I had them shoot the Brocock Sniper. I would say they were doing better with the Sniper than they were with the Wildcat. They wanted to shoot some more the next day and set up the range themselves. They went to the Sniper. Didn't even pause and look at the Wildcat. No inference here just an observation and admittedly it surprised me. They stayed with the Sniper the rest of the day.

I didn't use to have a target at 125. One hundred was fun for them but wanting more of a challenge they asked to put one out 125. We put one out there and after figuring out the hold over for 125 they started hitting the middle area of a splatter burst target. I would guess they were all landing within about a 15" circle.

What's interesting to me is how quickly they picked up how to handle and shoot a PCP. Maybe no loud bang, ear protection, and a kick in the shoulder had a lot to do with it. What do you think? The other interesting observation was their choosing the Sniper each time they went out. Not comparing here or suggesting anything about the quality of the rifles etc. Two PCP novices obviously preferred the sniper.
