Nutters and Turkeys everywhere!

Well small game season opened yesterday here in Michigan and I was to busy to go.

But today I made time and the woods were alive with critters all around me. Still a lot of leaves so its hard to get any clear shots but managed to get a couple.

I normally hunt with my springers in early season but had to try out my newly acquired s410 .22 and it worked beautifully. Took the black one at 55 paces. Now it's time to break out the Hoyt for some turkeys as Michigan hasn't got around to make it legal for air rifles yet...sigh!

Nice shooting. Went to the old farm yesterday. Got to shoot my new Wingshot. Pretty fun shooting reds with it. 3 for 3 in the walnut trees by the barn. Took ghe Prod to the woods and got 2 for 2 on the fox. Seen several others. Both fox grey and black. 2 was enough for dinner. We logged the big oaks a couple years ago and the smaller oaks are just bursting with nuts. Should be a good year. I had a couple hens in ghe phmpking patch too. Gotta love ghe fall.
