I have a Maverick in 25 cal I shot some 29 grain nsa ans the grouped half inch at 55 yards at 980 fps second reg on 107 bar. Has anyone tried the 29.5? Should I even try them? Do they differ from the 29 grain. This was the last group of the day from 55 yard.

That my friend is only a question you can answer. Is there a reason you need the .5gr or are you a tinkerer? 
You have a pretty good group there but if you are like me, buy some and see how they do.
I've changed tunes so many times to try different ammo I've lost track and probably need to create a notebook with all the ammo I have. I have my .22 sniper shooting the NSA 28.5 at 1050fps and man does it pack a punch. So I would say again, try them and see if YOU like them because it's your results that matter...

The difference is one is dish based and one is flat based. What that really means is the dish based version is slightly longer so if you don’t have the heavy liner it MIGHT make a difference, if you have heavy liner then I don’t think there will be much of difference except from your tune. the reason being the heavier liner properly stabilizes the slugs with higher twist rate. Superior barely stabilizes lighter slugs, they shoot some lighter slugs pretty well just not as well as heavy especially at lower speed.
Dish based is also a bit more tune/turbulence sensitive so might not be as good in shorter barrels that are harder to tune at higher power. Personally I like to stick with flat based slugs for that reason.

I agree with ram2jeep it's all about what's good enough for you. I think that's a pretty good group at 55 yrds. It's good enough to hunt with if it's repeatable. Are you just punching paper to see how good it can be if so get some and try them, if they are better or even the same you know you have an alternative ammo choice in the future. Not many are lucky enough to have multiple choices of ammo that do that well.

Thanks for the comments guys. I think I will go ahead and order both just to see what it will do. The reason I Got the dish based is my gun shot the 26 grains good which I want to say is a dished based also. I’ll give it a shot and report my finding once shot the 29.5.

Oh dose anyone clean there slugs. I clean my 34 grain MK2 those I know shoot better clean and lubed.

Those same slugs shot very very well for me at 50. But well pretty bad at 100. Around 200".
It wasn't until i tuned the 38.5s to 980 where I'm finally getting moa 3 shot groups pretty consistently now at 100.
5 shot groups not yet. But close. They are the most stable and accurate slug I've found up to this point.
1/2" or under at 50 90% of the time.
