Nsa .178 20.5gr, what barrel is stabalizing these?

on NSA website it states “These have been tested in choked LW 17 caliber barrels with good results”.

I don’t know any current factory barrel has the 1:12 needed to stabilize the 20 grain, ideally I would want 1:10 barrel for these slugs. However why bother? The 20 grain has Bc of 0.075 while the 12.5 grain has BC of 0.07 which can be shot out of FX 177 barrels with great accuracy.

Takes a lot of airflow and oomph to get them moving.

The Veteran platform won't push them more than 700fps even with same settings that produce 45fpe in .22. This was attempted with an aftermarket .177, 24 inch LW poly with a very slight choke.

I've shot them from a buddies RW HP out to 100 yards and they're crazy good. He re-barelled it (and maybe did other stuff too?) So I'm not sure an off the shelf RW HP in .177 will push em. That'd be a good question for AOA prior to a purchase if the intent was 20.5gr slugs.

And I'm pretty sure I remember him sharing here on AGN that he measured the actual BC at higher than 0.075, using a Labradar. Do some searching for that post-new search function seems pretty good.
