My dies are set up so if the meplat is the same size like these slugs the hollow point cavity will be the same so all the 17 cal no matter the weight will have the exact same size cavity. Same with all the dies regardless of weight or caliber, it the meplat is the same size the HP cavity is likely to be identical because we use the same tooling for the HP nose. There is a ratio between the length of the HP pin and width of the base of it so they don't break.
 
12.5 is shaped like a barrel now .. got crushed during the cut.

I would expect all the NSA to have equal cavity dimensions within the same caliber

at what speed did you see expansion in critters? I remember you posted a while back that you needed to drill out the hollowpoint. Was that the old 12.5 or new version?
