Anyone ever think of this when polishing a piston? I think it makes life a lot easier.

Yes....been using that method for many years!! Posted a short article about that a shortb time back. You can control the speed much better with a cordless over a corded drill. If your rifle has a seperate compression cylinder, find a phillips head type screw driver where the handle just fits in side the comp tube, wrap a couple wraps of good ole duct tape until it is a snug fit. Now you can chuck up the shaft of your screwdriver and polish the outside of your comp tube the same way!!! Happy polishing!!!
