Nova Vista Liberty Problems... again

I got my replacement Nova Vista Liberty today. It’s making some kind of weird squeaking noise as I pump up (right form the get go at 0 psi). I degassed the gun, cleaned the barrel, checked the hand pump, and still didn’t get it. The whole cylinder has the ports for the fill probe in different spots than last time - to the point that one of the ports don’t let me put my filling probe in because the barrel covers it partially. I’m not going to disassemble anything because I just got this today so I just want to know if this is normal or not.

Seems like the plug with the fill hole is turning out. just guessing. try insert the fill probe or turn in clockwise to close and seal and try again.

My BSA Ultra SE squeaks as I pump it. Its just the air going past the fat little oring BSA uses in their fill port. You just need to degas your gun, twist the plug to your liking then fill it back up. That plug doesn't need to be tight. the oring seals the gun. Not how tight you make it.

Isn't it more like a "shrill" sound rather than a "squeak"? I thought you no longer pump? YO!

You can use something like a drill bit (smooth part) to twist the filler so your probe can be inserted. YO!

It has been squeaking since 2012 when I bought it. It goes into the shrill mode when I hook a compressor to it. Not sure if his Nova is making the same noise as my gun.

My Liberty has squealed since I've owned it. As far as where the fill probe port lies it all depends on where the tube was tightened down to when it's aired up.

Some squeal, some don’t. Usually stops at a certain pressure. Sometimes noise comes from fill assy area, sometimes from the reg block area. The position of probe hole varies gun to gun. Pump it up and start shooting.

Thanks for all the help! I believe the people mentioning the fill port are right - it’s sounding like a flute/whistle and coming out from the fill port area. I thought I heard a leak yesterday after I filled it but it stayed at 1k psi today so maybe it’s not leaking (fingers crossed because this one got me 1” groups at 70 yards on my first trip out!!!!!)
