N/A Notos vs Zelos?

Pretty big gap between these two Snowpeak made guns in fpe. SPA also makes the Stoeger Bullshark, Scout, and Ranger which are inbetween in power and price. SPA also makes a couple Diana models which would be a bit more money but similar in power to the ones I mentioned that were not on your list. Lots of choices. You mainly need to decide bullpup or traditional layout and how much you can spend. That would narrow it down. But if you want to make it more complicated again there are always Air Vennturi models like the Avenger and AvengeX.

Oh, I keep going down all the ranit trails. Lol. I keep coming back to these 2 just based on reviews.

Then I see a deal on an FX or RAW and start to rationalize just going bigger now.

Zelos. You can tune them down 15-24 fpe with a weaker hammer spring and tune them up with the stock HS. C88 machine has weaker hammer spring if you go that route.

I have the bottle version M60B with a fx liner in 700mm and 500mm. The 500mm makes it compact and great for shooting in confined spaces.
Add another tick to the zelos column. I've definitely grown more fond of compact builds.

i think both zelos and notos will make you want a bit more. They are both great but you might not like the 20-30 shots per fill so you will try to upgrade to a bottle version and you'll need a really good moderator for the Zelos unless noise is not an issue but that makes the gun so long. I really would go for a Bullshark or a P35 or P35X instead if you need to stay in that price range and you'll get 60 shots per fill, if you want something a bit better then maybe a Taipan veteran or a Airmaks Krait would be a good choice to where you don't have to upgrade and tinker with it much yourself.

I was told a long time ago to buy once, cry once...😂👍. And it is worth purchasing a high end PCP if one can afford it and will be shooting it often. Better materials, trigger and well known barrel manufacturers being used.

I keep getting a bit scared off from some of the higher end guns and what seems like the amount of adjusting can come into play. But guessing that just comes along with territory.

I thought the Zelos got a few more shots, so appreciate that feedback and other options to look at.

A moderator will be added before long. Run suppressor on most my 'real' guns so just seems right.
both zelos and notos are the most bottle modded guns i have seen in forever, they are great guns but shot count is the worst part about them, its usually about 25 shots per fill on a zelos at full power unless you tune it down or make it a bottle gun.

Very understandable! Some higher end PCP's have easy, just a hammer spring adjustment needed, BRK has a transfer port adjuster that is a dial. All can be a tune it and leave it be shooter 👍. Take your time before deciding, research and research more to leave all doubt behind.

The P35 and the Stoeger airguns come with effective baffles in their shroud reducing or, for some, eliminating the need for a moderator. Or you can replace the baffles with a printed moderator in the shroud. In other words, low to no cost options for noise control.

The hammer spring is the limit on power for the P35 type guns (P35X has a thicker hammer spring) so the 177 only gets maybe 20 fpe, the 22 a little over 30, and the 25 a little over 40. But the advantage of this is shot count. I get 70 or 80 shots per fill in my P35-177 tuned for about 19 fpe. I get 50-60 in my 22s tuned to about 30. My 25 is not regulated at the moment but when it is I get about the same number of shots as the 22s. 50 or more accurate shots at 30+ fpe is plenty for small game. I've killed a small raccoon with my P35-22. The Zelos stores about the same amount of air as the P35 but can be tuned to higher power and thus air usage. Tune a 22 caliber Zelos to 30 fpe and you should get 50 or more shots. In other words, tune it to shoot 18 grain pellets at 860-880 fps. That's a good place for it anyway.
