Has anyone that has removed the fixed factory moderator made the shroud functional for sound reduction? I'm curious how much it would help when combined with an aftermarket moderator.

I've made other shrouds functional and it seems to help quite bit especially if your pushing a lot of air

How did you add the ports? Did you drill the barrel, or add a threaded and ported adapter to the muzzle?

I didn't want to destroy my gun and void the warranty so I found on eBay from seller dadr32 or Terminator Products an item he 3D prints called the Deci Ball. There are 2 pins holding the Notos moderator together you can see when looking at the muzzle end. You turn the rifle upside down and drive the pins out with a small punch. Pull out the internal baffles and insert the Deci Ball and line up pin holes and this time put the pins back from the top or gun right side up. Made my Notos very quiet and can easily be taken out if you need to send in for warranty. He only sells 3 items for the Notos so easy to find on his website or eBay. Happy shooting.
