AgreedNotos is really quiet with oem moderator, dont see why everyone wants to put giant mods on them. Makes a small light gun look all out of proportion.
Maybe take off the odd and inspect the inside for strikes, @nervoustrig is right, as long as your groups dont open up you should be fine. I suspect that mod is 2-3x heavier than the factory one.View attachment 592923I installed this moderator this morning and went from 1/2" groups to 2" groups. POI moved 2 inches down and left. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to make it better. I'm not sure it even sounds quieter.
scarry guy, no country for old men.My buddy Anton installed a big can on his gun and it also began producing 2" groups.

But in fairness, his was a shotgun and distances were quite close.
In all seriousness, a slight POI shift is to be expected, but if groups open up considerably, that's symptomatic of clipping the baffles. Sometimes you can manipulate things to improve alignment, or you can consider brute force and drill out the baffles for more clearance.
Looked clean inside no strikes. I'm going to try and clock it in different positions and see if that makes a difference. If not it goes on the shelf and lesson learned. It does seem as if the notos bark has lessend the more pellets I run through it. It is definitely not as loud as it was when new.Agreed

Make sure its seated right, there's is a slot for the original moderator to enter the slip on, I had no issues with mine. Didn't noticed any pellet deviation but I did noticed a noise drop around 8 to 10 dbView attachment 592923I installed this moderator this morning and went from 1/2" groups to 2" groups. I liked the idea of slip on and bot having to take apart, I agree it looks a bit cartoonish.I have one of Subscriber's designs that replaces the factory baffles and extends out the front a couple inches. It's the same diameter and looks like it came from factory on the gun. I really can't imagine anything being any quieter. I hear hammer drop and pellet hitting target.
I'm not in a location where loud guns are a problem at all and I would run the gun as it came factory before I'd put anything oversized on it. I do not like soup can looking moderators, at all.
But to each his own.. I'm not judging.![]()
2 pins pushed out, the old baffle pack pulled out and the new put in and put the 2 pins back in... ez pz and reversable.I liked the idea of slip on and bot having to take apart, I agree it looks a bit cartoonish.
