Notice Frays and Broken O-Ring on Daystate Regal and Air Wolf MCT

I just traded for an Air Wolf MCT. Love it and the deal. The o-ring in the magazine (holds the pellets in place) broke after about 3 magazine loads. I then got my Regal .22 magazine and looked at it. It isn't broken but I can see pellet- spaced frays in the o-ring.

I just bought 100 of these 0-rings from a supplier mentioned on airgunnation (mcmasters). I suppose I now have a life-times worth of these magazine o-rings now?

I wonder if I'm doing something wrong in the handling of this magazine or its loading to cause this o-ring damage or is does this come with the territory of these magazines? I did notice when loading the Wolf that some of the pellet skirts (a lot of them in fact) were deformed. I loaded them anyway because I was shooting at only 12 yards indoors. Maybe these deferred skirts are the problem.
Thanks

That Rowan Engineering single loader is pretty slick looking! It appears it is a purchase from the UK? Is it available here in the states from anyone? I don't mind ordering from the UK I just don't know how long it would take to receive it?

Doug, I'll check that pin placement on my son's Wolverine. I had his Vortex sighted in (12 yards) with 3 shots. He will shoot at distance outdoors this weekend.

You folks on this site are unbelievably helpful to us newbies!

Thank-you

I watched that video a couple of days ago. I bought an 0-ring from the local auto parts store. It was the only one they had. Yes, it was easy to take the mag apart and put back together. Then I ordered the o-rings from MacMasters (the 100 pack - smallest amount you can order but cheap at $10.97).

I just ordered the Rowan Engineering single loader for the wolf. I'd get one for my son's .25 Wolverine but they don't offer one in other than .177 and .22.

Thanks for the advice here.

My magazine O-ring is also frayed - I think with time it gets nicked by skirts; its been in use for 2.5 years but needs changing.

Could you please post the O-ring size and mcmasters part #.

Thanks.

The size is: 1.5MM (thickness) x 25 MM (Inside diameter).

Here's the line from my invoice. Shipping was $6.60 and I received the item on January 11th. Very quick shipment. Line

9262K646 Multipurpose O-Ring Oil-Resistant Buna-N, 1.5mm Wide, 25mm ID, Packs of 100 Per Pack10.97

I have not put one of these on the Regal yet because that one isn't broken. It is only showing signs of fraying. I assume it is the same size because I was planning to use the magazine in the Regal and Wolf interchangeably?

I've ordered from Rowan for Ft goodies. It takes about two weeks from when you place the order. Average shipping costs.
