Note about my "new" Krait

New Krait (.22), to me as of Saturday (01-28) morning

This evening is four days since it was last shot by me...no change in the regulator pressure. At least as far as the tiny gauge is concerned ! Still pointing to 90bar.

Although as noted in another post, the regulator gauge needle was almost pointing to 100 (bar), as received in the mail. I "assume" that the Utah AirGuns guys did shoot it as they advertise, and it was in the mail...four days, so I really don't understand that difference. Unless it was a longer period of time since it was shot last, vs. being mailed out to me.
So, at this point, it "appears" that my gun isn't leaking, or is a much longer period of time...to leak..

Will do some chronograph testing tomorrow. Will watch the first, second and third shot speeds.
Will also put a digital gauge on it to get a better idea of the actual pressure in the rear position.

Happy with it so far.

Mike

The temperature and relative humidity in Utah versus where you are at will have a great deal to do with the air pressure in the gauge that you saw upon delivery. To hat 10 psi difference isn't really that much. I will commonly see nearly a 200 psi drop in pressure on the gun's air cylinder gauge going from ambient indoor temperature and the outdoor temperature when it is well below freezing here. This works inversely also. When I take that last refill after a shooting session in these conditions, I make sure that I don't fill the gun all the way up to the normal shot cycle/shooting operating pressure. I leave at least a couple hundred pounds of pressure on the gauge for indoor/warming expansion.

Understood. And yeah, I did forget that it's pretty cold in Utah this time of year, while it's a balmy 67 to 70 degrees in SoCal.

This is just a note about the thing that people call..."creep". Don't know where that word came from, it's actually a pressure leak !

Anyway, yeah, thanks for the note.

Utah Airguns removed my anti double feed parts, how about on yours?
Hmm, haven't tried that situation.

Mine is still doing very good with whatever "fix" they came up with.
No regulator leak here. The digital gauge can be within +/- .10 of change overnight. Nothing to worry about there.
The first shot speed, is within a few (one was 6fps that I recall) FPS of the follow up shots. No real difference than any of my other PCP's. All that I've checked, have some difference with the follow up shots after sitting at least one day.
