NOT MRDs warning

Just ordered a few tins of MRDs which the lid clearly stated they were BUT when I opened them, to my surprise they were Jumbo 25.4s and if you’ve ever shot those you know they certainly don’t shoot as well to say the least. Top picture is the old Jumbo Monsters, middle picture is the NEW tin of MRDs and bottom is the FX MRDs, which is almost identical to JSBs MRDs. Anyone else got any of these mis-labeled tins?

Thanks for posting this. New to the .22 Monsters, got a bunch with a new gun this weekend. After a few hundred shots, thought I was going to have to send the rifle back- terrible accuracy, as in 2+ inches at 50, with signs of keyholing. At 100 on 35x, could see them tumbling through the scope as they went left, right, or over the two foot piece of cardboard. Like a good night for a knuckleball pitcher! Checked that all screws & the moderator were tight, no change. Switched scopes, no change. Checked, for clipping- nope.
After I saw this thread, went to look at mine... sure enough half of the tins are full of the original design though the tins are clearly marked as the redesign. Those were the ones I'd been shooting. Cleaned the barrel, went out with a tin of the redesigns, & like magic was getting nice groups.
If the original design is like this with most or all rifles... time to melt down those dies & turn the steel into something useful!

Will do the same with the vendor I used. Not at all their fault of course, but who knows how many of those mismarked tins are out there, might save them additional return headaches.

Feel dumb for getting that far without noticing, but in my (weak) defense, had no experience with either Monster until cracking open that first tin.

Feels like I should scrub the rifle again to make sure there's no taint left in the barrel . Yeesh those were bad...
