North Texas Airgunners

So while looking around for N. TX airgunners I found a few defunct groups and a few small cliques. I know some people don't like Facebook (myself included), but I created a Facebook group (called North Dallas Airgunners) just to have an online community designed for meeting up, that was based for people in the nearby area. While talking with a few local guys and people at the local HPA fill spots, there is a relatively large community in N. Texas, but we're spread all over. Not tryin' to replace a forum for info or anything like that as I don't want to spend a bunch of time mantaining the Facebook group, just tryin' to create a place where people in the area can find, chat, and meet up with other North Texas airgunners.

From another thread:

Dallas Field target club

Arlington Sportsman club has monthly field target and bench rest matches

Pecan Plantation south of Granbury has Field target matches.

I'm a member of Arlington Sportsman's Club. Great place to shoot.

As said above there are plenty of airgunners in N. TX but the only ones that get together on a regular basis are guys that shoot FT. There are 2 FT matches per month on N. TX. Arlington Sportsman Club holds a match the last Saturday of each month and Pecan Plantation (Granbury, TX) & Dallas switch off each 2nd Saturday of each month. Just go shoot some matches. Don’t worry if you suck as nobody cares. Just go shoot and have fun with other air gun enthusiasts. It’s a great deal as you have kick ass targets set up in all sorts of places and you get to shoot at them. That’s what it is all about. Beats sitting at home wishing you could shoot air guns with other people. Just do it.

Yea, went to go check it out spoke to Kermit the club president and a RSO there and they told me the airgun match was last week. Looks like the airgun range is also used for archery as they only person there was shooting a bow. Nice place though, got a tour of the grounds, and am considering tryin' to find 2 members to sponsor me. Really decent club despite bein' an hour from me.
