Noobie question on hatsan blitz pcp

Seems like the price is all over the place. Midway seems to have the best price now but some of the reviews say they will ship used/refurbished ones as new. On the other hand Amazon has what the "questions answered" section says is a regulated Blitz for double the Midway price, with some ammo included. I have seen posts with issues with the first fill, mags need adjusting, jams (maybe due to loose screws), and uneven quality control. On the other hand once past the first fill and if you clean the barrel every 500-1,000 rounds some guys say they are reliable and shooting with the fun button on is a hoot. I have also seen some claims which I can't seem to confirm or deny about the QC getting better since release.

Bottom line is I am still confused about if there really is a regulated version (as some claim with the $US1,200 version on Amazon) and if there does seem to be an improvement (or even a second version) available now. Still not convinced it is what I want due in great part to the confusion about regulating one and if there really is a new version.

I recieved a 30cal from Midway last week. New $649- free delivery. I also bought an Invader 25cal on sale from Midway 3 weeks ago. New $349- free delivery. Midway always has great deals on the 'Weekly Specials ". I've been a customer since 2012, Midway has never disappointed me. I'm pretty sure a regulator can be put on a Blitz, but I've never seen any for sale.

The first fill for any pcp with a large volume air tank usually requires a shot from an hpa tank to close the air valve. The valves will stay open at zero pressure so they will not pressurize when transporting via aircraft. It takes 5 or 10 psi to close the valve. That said, my Blitz came with a puff of air in it, enough to hold the valve closed.
