Non-Lethal Pellets

I used to do that with wadcutter pellets going really slow. Loopy trajectory but sting like a bb gun. Would be easier with a bb gun or and old multi pump air gun with only one or two pumps in it. You can also just place water bottles next to the areas that the varmints are want to visit. Fill the bottles with vinegar and put the lids on tight. Then shoot the bottles when the varmint is near and it will spray vinegar all over him/her and they won,t like it. Have fun..

Another good, non lethal, and harmless method, is to use felt cleaning pellets. They are accurate to around 20 yards with a 12 ft lb gun, they won't hurt the animal, and won't travel far if you miss. Score a hit, it bounces right off, and scares the crap out of them.

I make pellets by squirting hot melt glue into a bullet mould. They shoot great and are nonlethal beyond 10 feet. You could make your own mould by drilling multiple through a steel plate, aluminum or plastic and lay it on a flat surface and squirt in hot melt glue. After the glue sets use a wood chisel to trim the excess glue and punch out with a nail or punch. You'll likely need to lube the holes with wD40 or similar to keep the pellets from sticking.
Good luck and let us know it goes.

Does anyone know of a non-lethal pellet? I've got some nuisance animals on my property that I don't want to kill but want to highly discourage them from coming around. I don't want to use airsoft in my air rifle. I'm looking for a .22 rubber round. Thanks, Red

Yes i do make rubber pellets for .177 break barrels or .22cal

Lots of creative ideas here, I would caution anyone using a powerfull spring powered rifle though....these light weight projectiles like cleaning pellets are fine for PCP but can and will damage a springer! Any springer of 12 fpe or greater needs that heavy projectile to cushion the piston at the end of its stroke... Over the years I have replaced nunerous seals and springs for customers shooting cleaning felt pellets from their higher powered springers.

I’ve scared off raccoons, cats and rabbits by just shooting at my metal targets. Place spinner type targets around your yard. Shoot at the target closest to the pest you want to scare off.
Although, possums don’t give a $h!t ........ They are either too stupid for their own safety. Or the baddest M-F-er in my neighborhood😂

Hi jester,
I hope you still make these! I sent you an email inquiring about .22 rubber pellets.

Try pouring melted wax into a shallow pan to the depth of your pellets. When the wax starts to harden, use an empty cartridge or straw as a kind of cookie cutter to cut out pellets. These wax pellets will sting like a bee but not be leathel to small critters.
