NOE .30 BBT 68 gr Info please!

Good evening all! I'm interested to see any and all results with regard to the NOE .30 BBT 68 gr mold. Or 62 gr if you have a hollow point. I have one of these molds on the way, and am curious to see accuracy results. Hear about any issues while casting, just any kind of info in general. I tried doing a online search on this mold. I'm not really getting any hits.

If y'all have suggestions on molds that are close in weight to the 44 gr. pellets, I'll take those too! Except the NOE .30 pellet molds- those have been out of stock for a while. TIA!
 
I used to shoot the 62 gr HP at 886 fps with reasonable close quarters accuracy, at 100 m 1.5 -2 “. I sized them down to .300 and lube with lemon pledge.

The main reason why I stopped using them is because of the large hollow point, they ripped pigeons almost in half to the point of being un-edible. My wife also banned me from cast my own slugs due to health reasons.

My 224 cal 44.2 gr gave me very few fliers, different story with the 30 cal, be prepared for a higher number of fliers. I weighed my slugs and batched them with 0.3 gr tolerance. 

They are cheap and easy to cast, with a four cavity mould I could cast 500 + an hour. 

I now shoot the Inferno 85 gr HP/RBT and there is no turning back.

What gun and barrel were you shooting the slugs from? I got the mold BECAUSE of the HP. I'm building a varmint/long range pesting gun, and am not concerned with the meat. I appreciate the reply!

I can show you the difference between the NOE 62 gr cast slug and the Inferno 85 gr Swaged slug.

I found his post- he's got a BBT mold that he's decked. I'm talking about the same BBT mold that's been re-worked, so that it's a flat base, but the same OAL as an unmodified BBT- .375". So this will be a completely new mold. His modified slugs are shorter- probably around .307" or something. Those initial results look good though, so hopefully this new slug will have similar results. It is good to know that the shorter slugs will feed properly from an FX mag though! I was curious as to whether or not they would.

New .30 slug drawing courtesy of Mr. Bob Sterne. I've sent an email to Accurate to see if he's willing to make this mold, and how much it would cost. Only down side is, I'll have to send it to Erik to have a HP made... Not a HUGE deal, but it would have been nice if NOE could make it (and I have sent an email, so it's a possibility in the future), as they can make it a HP. But I'd like to get this mold done somewhat quickly, and I haven't heard back from NOE. Another reason to go w/Accurate, is that I can have the one mold made, cast some up after I HP it, and test the slug out, before others go and buy it... If it doesn't work, it's all on me, no biggie. Or if it works, y'all can get one too! It's a win-win.

I like the big hollow point in that cast slug for maximum expansion. I milled my original .30 sideshot magazine to fit 66gn NSA slugs (.430") and get 947fps at 150 bar. I have all the parts to go .357 now but I'm still modifying the feed mechanism to be safe well over 200 fpe. Up to .450" length slugs fit in the new plastic FX branded sideshot mags without modification.

I just received a Mk2 Impact in .30, and the hi-cap mag it came with has a depth of only a hair over .380"... Or are you specifically speaking about the .35 mags? 

I can't wait to get everything complete so I can get to accuracy testing!!

Yes, the .35 mag. I assumed the others were the same depth. Now you know there's room to mill your mag on a rotary table. If you mill the base and lid the plastic mags should fit .470 without being too thin.
