Be careful using PirateShip. While most of my shipments have been successful, just got hit with a 40 dollars charge for “carrier adjustments” from UPS. Purchased a box at the UPS store that was 48 inches long to ship a rifle to a member. The UPS machine detected the box at 49 inches and instead of 10 pounds it decided it was 40 pounds.
Calling UPS gets you nowhere since they referred me to PirateShip. PirateShip doesn’t have telephone support, I’ve filed a dispute online and they are sitting on it, UPS hasn’t received anything from them. Who knows for how long they’re keeping my money, if I ever get it back.
I guess one way this could’ve been avoided was to remove my PayPal account authorization as soon as I purchased the shipping label.
