AEA No more challenger standard????

Hey folks is it just rumors or is aea in fact discontinuing the challenger standard?? I've heard the 357 standard is no longer available thats in both 30" barrel and 24" as well
This series regular or max power kit .is by far ur best budget big bore out there .like to know if anyone else heard this
I haven't heard anything AEA in a while. That would be surprising if they did get rid of it. It has been a good selling unit.

I just looked Standard in most shops was either sold out or very limited selection.

Bullpups, Pro and Elite were better stocked

Given how often AEA has dropped lines in the past it would be unsurprising that they have dropped the Challenger.

I’ve heard that too and all the shops I’ve tried were out of most if not all calibers. I managed to get one of or maybe the last one Fox Air Power had this last March. Mine is a standard stock 24” in .357. I agree that it is really a “good bang for the buck” gun. Mine shoots a couple of NOE mold cast slugs pretty well, but it really shoots the FX Hybrids. They group really well at 100 yards and leave the muzzle at 1120 fps! My maximum fpe is in the low 230’s with the heavier slugs. So far I’ve had 0 issues with mine and I think they’re missing the boat if they have discontinued the line. They’re still not light (mine was 8.4# out of the box), but it’s still only 9.5# scoped. I wish they really were the 6.9# as advertised, but I kind of knew that before I bought it.

AEA is weird like that. It is like they only have a finite bandwidth for products. Once they start working on a new product some current product just dies without any notice.

Yeah, I'd like to see about ordering another valve pin and some o-rings just to have them for the future. I haven't found anyone with the pins in stock, but I should call and see if they can order any. Fox Air Power has o-ring seal kits (for a pretty high price), but I guess it might make sense to just bite the bullet and order a set. It would be nice to have a better diagram of the guns with all the parts called out and seal sizes listed.

Which is why I have various assortment kits of orings. I have a lot of guns using different orings so I try to cover the gamut. Occasionally I encounter an oddball and have to pay a premium.

Pull the oring, measure with calipers, replace the oring.

Hardness can be an issue, duro 90 is a bit less available and not in kits. Mostly duro 70 or 75 in the kits.
