Set up a security system with cameras so you can establish a pattern as to when the problem neighbors aren’t home. They can’t complain if they aren’t there to observe.I live in a city and enjoyed shooting in my own wooded back yard until a tree hugger wife of an attorney moved next door and started complaining that I was killing her beloved tree rats. She even complained if I was just target shooting with a hay bale backstop. Legally I was over a barrel so I have to travel 20 miles each way to enjoy my PCPs and powder burners.

If she’s feeding the squirrels, many cities in NC prohibit this. File a complaint.
Weren’t the squirrels in your yard gnawing on something that you value? Eating flowers or vegetables? Sounds like they might be destroying property to me.

North Carolina Statute allows landholders to take wildlife at any time with firearms without a permit or license while it is in the act of destroying their property. Exceptions to this include certain state or federally protected wildlife species such as endangered, threatened, or species of special concern or most species of birds except Upland Game Birds (see Definition of Terms), pigeons, starlings, English sparrows, blackbirds, crows and grackles.
