Nitrogen type for PCP fill?

There have been numerous posts regarding nitrogen for PCPs. In an attempt to learn additional information, I checked the local suppliers in my area. This is what I have found:

There are five grades of nitrogen available. Which would be most applicable for filling a PCP?

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

The cheapest available -- folks who compress their own air are using local atmosphere. Don't think you need Research Purity or Ultra High Purity. Would think you could get away with industrial grade just fine.

I agree with LMNOP The least expensive is fine and sometimes it’s not available and they will give you a higher grade for the same price

I used nitrogen for years until I needed a 4500psi fill and the paintball shop would not do it. Then I got the Yong Heng and never looked back. Nitrogen is great and very dry so no worries there.

See it this way: Air is @79% Nitrogen, 20% Oxygen and the remaining 1% is every kind of crud.

If any PCP rifle runs just fine on this (mutt) blend why would the composition of a filtrated Nitrogen "mix" be of any concern?

I think ??? the question is the pressure not the grade. You want the max pressure and the largest tank.

Nah, it's actual grade here, not pressure. The scientific community and other communities depends on the quality. UHP isn't needed for airguns. From Praxair, note the significant digits. IE: 99% is not the same as 99.999% -- https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nine_(purity).

Yes and the next page shows that the only 6000 (6K) is the ultra high grade. Unless I'm missing something. Not much point in buying a 4500 psi tank is there?

Yep, those are my thoughts. I went with a very large 6000psi vessel. Now a couple weeks ago I bought a YH to use as a booster to top off my smaller tanks using the nitrogen tank once it falls below 4000psi. I bought a Palmer Paintball in-line stabilizer so that I won’t have to adjust my regulator all the way down to 30 psi to run the YH. The regulator should be in this week and I’ll post a pick once it’s up and running.
