A little lube on mechanical pivot points is always a good idea. I would assume a drop of silicone chamber lube if it starts to sound dry would be in order.

Drop or two of silicone oil is great every 500-700 shots. Personally I take my NP rifles apart, including the spring/gas ram, and clean out the piston chamber and piston followed by lubing the piston with moly grease. Really smooths the cycle of the gun in my experience.

Yep what everyone said above and I also leave the rifle standing straight up resting on its butt for 24 hours until I shoot it again. Give the silicon a chance to work its way down. The first shot is loud.
