I've picked up my new FX Impact 25 today, but the dealer didn't had an adjustable 34mm scope block for my 10-40x50. So in my way home ;) I ran to another gun shop but they didn't even knew something like "adjustable" exists (F*n powderburners). But for a surprise on the shelf I saw they had several Nikko scopes.

I asked the guy if he have anything more power like 10-50x50 (so I can see my POI), he show me from he's supplier's site I can get a 10-50x60, http://nikkostirling.com/content/DiamondSportsman.html

Same green turrets, but I am little bit suspicious because of the name for the model Diamond Sportsman.

Anything good for long range target shooting? I mean beyond 100 meters, 200 or maybe 300?

The price is very attempting (for a Canadian market) compared to an average ~700 USD how much the second hand Nikko Diamond scopes (asking) in US.

If that is somehow a new scope, I would buy it and run very fast. I own one of the Diamond sportsman, and a couple other older BSAs.

I love good glass, and this is Japanese excellent glass. And yes it will range from 10 yards to infinity very well. I would love to look at a prairie dog through one of those at about 450 yards.

If it is used in excellent condition, it’s priced right.

The Diamond 10-50 series were the bees knees a decade or so ago. Then came along the Sightron SIII 10-50 and most new purchases swayed towards those.

I don't think you could go wrong either way. Google Hector Sightron SIII and check out his own spec'd versions of the Sightron. But I believe that the parallax is max'd out around 100 meters.

Another to consider is the Hornet ED http://nikkostirling.com/content/horneted.html. I am not certain that they are available here yet though.

Another day I saw @ AGN a second hand Diamond 10-50x60 asking price was $750 USD = $1004 CAD, I was kind of hesitating $$$ for shipping a used scope across the border.

New scope in EU I saw online for eu1180 = $1450 CAD

Now today here in my local store I found a price 1120 CAD to 1340 CAD for a brand new to be ordered in, price depend what reticle you want.

I sent my Diamond scope to be re-paralled to Legacy Sports a couple years ago. They told the the Diamond was no longer made. They offered to replace the scope with a new model costing 1/3 the cost of the Diamond. I was told Legacy did not import the latest high end model (don't remember the model name). Imaging that, the Dealer didn't import the top of the line model. Over the tears I've had nothing but trouble dealing with Legacy. I had my scope sent back. Fixed it myself.

what local store in Canada has those scopes in stock?

You shall pm me to get an email faster.

Solely Outdoors (Red Baron was in that building years ago)

The store is in Markham/ON (Hwy 407 & Woodbine, North one traffic light), they were renovating the building inside for months, the store looks half empty but I have a feel they making some sort of shooting range at the back.
