Nightforce nx8 4x32 or Element Nexus

Nice, the cleanest reticle in my opinion, I was trying to switch to MILl but couldn't handle the MIL on NX8 so I went with MOAR too. Now I don't care if is MIL or MOA long as it's a reticle I like, I always got a range card attached to my gun so don't need to do any calculation in my head on the fly. I own mixed type of scopes, MIL, MOA SFP, FFP, x10 power, x60 power and they all got their use.

Take a look at the new ZEISS CONQUEST V4 6-24 if you want anotHer option, brilliant scope and they now PX down to 10, very bright image and some great rets and a very competitive price point.

Is there a new Zeiss coming up? On their website it still show 50yards close foc7s

I also tried looking as well when this post first came out and couldn't find any Zeiss V4 that focuses down to 10 yards.

Thanks for the heads up.

Can you see the NX8 reticle well in low light? As an example I have trouble seeing my Hawk Sidewinder sometimes. Its me I know but I got the eyes I got.

All the NX8 models are illuminated. Are you asking if the reticle is visible in low light without turning on the illumination? Also, the 4-32×50 and 2.5-20x50 first came out as F1 models (FFP). They now also offer both models in Second Focal Plane (SFP/F2). That should aid in seeing the reticle in low light when set at a lower magnification compared to FFP. Because they are illuminated, it makes all this pretty much a moot point for low light use.

Wow! Impressive. I'm getting a headache just thinking about that possibility.

I have owned an element Titan and was very impressed with the glass for the money; indeed I haven't seen anything to beat it for the same money. The reticle also scaled very well and it tracked perfectly. I ended up selling it as it was just too heavy. I have since bought a second hand NX8 4-32 with the Milxt reticle and it is a step up in all aspects, but then it should be as it cost twice second hand what the Titan was new. Haven't looked through the Nexus but hearsay has me thinking it isn't the same bang for your buck as the Titan. All said and done the nx8 is a very impressive scope and is a keeper, the only issue being it can get a tad dark beyond x24 in less than perfect light conditions (I think a x8 erector is maybe a step too far). I currently run it on my .25 cal Crown as the parallax is great for range finding and the Milxt reticle works really well for holding over ridiculous pellet drops....

I suppose it comes down to budget as I suspect the Nexus is also a very good scope so decide how much you want to spend and try either, as both will likely sell easily second hand so not too much loss if it doesn't work for you. I also really rate the Nightforce SHV F1 and with a military discount it is a very affordable scope compared to the Nexus or NX8
