Night time ratting

Is there a better color light lense for ratting at night ? They seem to be spooked by my white led . Thanks

For the most part they have less of a reaction to low levels of red light.

Yes, red light works better, just leave it on and flood the area you are shooting.

I have always used white LED. I have painted my backstop white. I aim the LED off to one side so I can just barely see the target area. Once they hone in on the bait, I slowly turn the light into the target area until they are illuminated sufficiently in my scope. 


Like fishing, it’s all about patience.
