Ok.. So I have the FX dialed in on this ammo...Question is , which one does the more damage in terms of hunting the DIMPLE noes or Hollow ppoint.. WOuld love to hear and see both side of the coin on this one..Mainly shooting inside of 5o yard, nothing beyond that for now..

Got the FX tuned up for the .25 cal in 34 grain.....Would love to know which slug is the most devastating dimple nose vrs hollow point. Would love to see some examples of each... I need to stock up ....

The dimple nose will give you more penetration, and the Hollowpoint will expand more. I have yet to try the hollowpoint on pest target like groundhog, but think it might be contained in critter. Here is a picture of the 33.5gr hollowpoint short with about 52ft-lbs energy that was recovered from duct seal at 50yards. The oblong shape is due to hitting putty at an angle. I will find the dimple nose I shot and get a picture of it.

I may be wrong but I would think that the hollow point would be more devastating as the dimple nose slug may pass thru.

Ok, so I shot the 33.5 gr and 34gr Dimple nose into duct seal at 25 yards at about 52ft-lbs after I got home today. Here are a few comparison pictures of them side-by-side. Match sticks are 2" long at 34gr dimple almost penetrated to 2".
I personally would go with the Hollowpoint if the accuracy is there. Hope this helps you.

The hollow point are awesome for expansion ,.. but , I've bounced a few hollow point off of Raccoons Heads..
The dimple nose are my go to for raccoon head shots..
The dimple nose have a lot more pass through and the hollow point almost never pass through small animals like squirrels.. The hollow points are devastating for body shots..

It does help.. Anyone ever used the Lead Fist slugs with the ball bearing in the tip? I would imagine that it would like like a armor piercing round.
