My 22 cal vulcan shoots 18.1 JSBs at 900 fps and I was just wondering if any of you guys out there have tried the Nielsen slugs in your vulcans and what kind of results you've gotten?

Hey man just grab a few and post results for us all. I heard great things about his slugs. Maybe he has a sample pack you can purchase and go from there.

I was under standing that you should shoot slugs in a choked barrel?
Please inform me if I am wrong, I got a Cricket. Veteran. and Vulcan that I may try them in if I can.

It doesn’t matter a barrel chooses what it likes unless designed for that particular pellet/slug. I’ve had all types of rifles and tried all types of ammo. Just have to experiment.

My condor barrel is choked and shoots the 39 gr hp NSA slugs very well. (sorry not a vulcan but is choked) This was 3 shots at 70 yards (rangefinder). I couldnt make myself do a 5 shot group because I know I would have ruined it because I was excited. lol They arent that expensive so you should try them. He sells sample packs.

I am going to order a sample pack. Once I get them and do some testing I'll post some pictures. For those of you who have shot the slugs, with my gun shooting JSBs 18.1 at 900 what do you guys think my gun might shoot the 21, 23, 27, and 33 slugs at?

So I did some testing this weekend with my vulcan and the slugs and this is what I found. By no means am I a professional shooter so your results are going to be different than mine but never the less here they are. If you have any questions please ask!
That's the amount of drop from the 18.13 JSB pellets I normal shoot to the 27G slugs at 728FPS
Third group with the 27G turned up one full turn of my hammer spring so they were shooting at 728 FPS
Out of the tin JSB 18.13 pellets at 905 FPS. The gun is more accurate this ground isn't the best cause I'm not the best.
Second group with the 27G slugs st 728FPS
Second group with the 23G slugs at 799 FPS
Second group of the 21G slugs at 830 FPS
First and last group of the 33G slugs. Only those two shots hit the paper I'm guessing my gun just doesn't shoot fast enough for them and I'm not going to make it shoot fast enough for them.
First group of the 27G at 700FPS
First group of the 23G at 785 FPS
So these are the numbers. The top numbers are my gun as is how we started. The bottom numbers are after we turned the hammer spring adjuster in one full turn.

The H&N 21 grain .217 diameter shoot one small hole groups at 50 yards out of my Uragan. They are wildly accurate out to 190
18 grain Jsb’s shoot 900 and these slugs at 840.
