Been doing a lot of research on my first PCP purchase. I'm lookin at the middle weights in .22, the M-Rod and Hatsan AT44-10 QE. They look neck an neck but I can get a brand new Hatsan for $299. I wanna jump on it before the sale ends what do you think? Sorry if this topic has been to death LOL I really just joined and asked. This looks like a great airgun forum. Thanks for any thoughts.

Hatsan is awesome and has great customer service in the usa I have 3 no at44 but I have the bt65, bullboss, edge vortex. All very accurate

Have you looked at the Air Force Condor ? Great guns and you can swap out barrels for different calibre. Crazy accurate and very rugged.

If I were thinking of purchasing at hatsan gun, I would look at bwalton's guns. 299 is a heck of a deal too but I would also think about how much it would cost to get it tuned later on down the road. 299 plus bwalton's tune would make a great rifle but bwalton might already have a gun that's tuned at a price at or cheaper then what you would've spent to get it tuned.

Also consider a refurbished Nova from Hatsan USA. I have mine set for 915ish fps with 18 gr pellets and get over 80 shots at a 220 bar fill. If you turn it down to 850-850 fps you will get well over 100 shots a fill. And it's one of my most accurate PCPs.

I pulled the trigger on the at44. Thanks for the help. I will keep posted when it comes here. Couldn't pass up 299 but I'm sure it won't be my last lol

Hatsan is a great gun to start out with, A+ for $299. You won't go wrong. There is tons of great diy mods. Not to say they don't shoot great out of the box. I plan on tuning it with 18gr JSB's around 900-950 fps.

I wouldn't worry about getting it tuned right away. Shoot it for a while to see how you like it.
I used to have an AT44-10L QE. The trigger was barely passible stock. The short version is a bit lighter than the long version, but still heavy in my opinion. Nonetheless, you'll enjoy the airgun, once you scope it.

E-Dogg, I think your going to be very pleased with your purchase. I just received mine two days ago from probably the same place you ordered yours from, because I paid the same price. I got a 3/4" 5 shot group today with slight wind. This gun is accurate and very powerful. I got the .22 cal.

I'm only using a pump I purchased on Amazon for $70. It is working fine so far, butI can see a scuba tank for me in the near future.
