Newbie to compressed air shooting.

The Yong Heng is the least expensive compressor worth having and at $299 with free shipping it is a bargain mine cost more a year back when I bought it. You do NOT want the "Simple" version which is less expensive, because it DOES NOT have a water separator. You DO NOT want the "Auto Shutoff unit as it shuts off somewhere near 3000psi. ONLY the , "Set Pressure" and "Hardcopy/Hardcover" units are worth having.

They are about the best compressor you can buy for under $1000

So why don’t you have one?

The only good reason would be cuz you have something much better like and Alkin or similar.

But let’s not forget the YH units are inexpensive and Chinese so expect a few QC problems with them as with most of the more expensive compressors out there as many are just rebadged Chinese units.

If I may join the OP in asking, what oilless/waterless compressors have a good track record? They are on Amazon and Ebay in the $200-$400 range. And they are limited by design (because of overheating) to direct filling the airgun only, or 0.6L or less capacity bottles.

EDIT: what happened to the Altaros mini compressor? Haven't heard about it lately. That one I think runs full-time and does not need oil or water.
