Okay.. don’t laugh. What’s that big wheel on the side of some scopes? What’s it for and where do I get info on its use?

I makes it easier for adjusting the parallax (focus) it lets the smaller knob it attached to able to fine tuning of the focus. Because it a larger diameter that the knob 1/8 turn on big knob is like 1/32 turn on small know which is difficult to do without the help of big knob.

Field target shooters use the big side wheel to make markings for yardage while range finding.
I wish all scopes came with at least a 2 or 3 inch wheel as an option. Don’t really like the looks of it but it sure makes it easier.

try watching field target competition videos some of the side wheels are as big as a large pizza HYNZIE
