new WildCat hard to tame!!!

i got a new fx wildcat and have had a few issues, not bad ,,,now when i shoot i loose the 2nd stage,,, ive done zero adjusting,,, trigger goes in and out ,,,sometime it just fires upon pull... other time i butt up to a 2nd stage ,,5 to 10 good shots... then 5 to 10 bad shots,,,, back in forth i go,, ,sometime if i give the stock a little spank,,,,and the 2nd stage comes back ,,crazy please any thoughts .opinions welcome,,,pat

Is the trigger blade touching the stock at all? I'd remove the stock and take a look around to see if anything looks out of place.

Check the pin that connects the linkage to the trigger. My new one had the pin back out completely after about 20 mags. Just needed to re-seat it. It's possible some we not pushed all the way on during the build.

I would suspect the clevis pin also. Is yours a recent model? I ask because I thought FX started using a more solid clevis pin in early 2016? I just bought a used .22 wildcat (barely used) and the date on the block say December 2015 and I have the chintzy clevis on mine. It hasn't given me any problems yet so I'm not going to worry until it does. Let us know how you make out.

Yes, it's the clevis pin. Our new guns have a heavy duty clevis. The pin seemed like it was tapered when I pushed it back in with my finger. If you remove the stock it's very obvious to see. When mine backed out I basically had a loose trigger that just moved back and forth. Simple fix that I'll just keep an eye on.
