New to the group

I started off with a Crosman DIY PCP gun and a small 90ci tank I got filled at the paintball shop.

Then I graduated to a hand pump, until I bought my Impact and my arms would not do it anymore. That is when I broke down and bought the Yong Heng. The Yong Heng has been my best investment thus far.

Only purchase the Hardcover or Set Pressure units the others do not have a water separator or only charge to near 3000psi.

You will likely need a better moisture filter I use this and it werqs well.

Later on when I started shooting much more I went ahead and purchased a spendy Made in USA tank. It has been excellent in every way so far.

I noticed that the compressors are also available on Amazon for a bit more. Having never ordered from Ali-Express, is the savings worth it? Pardon my ignorance as well but are you able to fill the gun from the compressor or are you limited to filling the tank then charging the cylinder?

Carbon Fiber 4500 PSI tank is the only way to go.

.

I started out like you just wanting to use my air gun to keep my powder burner skills up. I almost never shoot my powder burners anymore and I burn 10 after 10 of pellets. This PC p's are so addicting you will end up making that your go to it's just more pleasant to shoot. you don't need to wear plugs you just go out and shoot. I have more invested in my current pillot gun than any of my powder burners.

I am the same way. I don’t touch my powder burners much anymore either. And as far as Price goes, yeah I remember when you could buy a very good bold action high-powered rifle Brand new for about $400. The last 06 rifle I bought was a Remington 700 for $375 in 1989.But you could get Winchester‘s or Ruger’s for around the same price. But once you Buy an air rifle that you like and the equipment to pump it up then shooting becomes pretty cheap.
