new to tank fills of gun

Yep go slow on the fill and fast on the bleed as Odoyle said. As you watch your tank or gun gauge needle you will notice as it hits the point where the pressure in your fill line overcomes the pressure in your gun tank and causes the check valve to open the gauge needle will move back a little and you will probably hear a little pop sound. At that point you will likely need to turn the valve up a little to finish the fill to your desired pressure.

FILL SLOWLY, BLEED QUICKLY! 1st commandment of filling airguns.

2nd commandment Make all connections are TIGHT on you foster fittings & trust your air gauge on the tank instead of the gauge on the rifle

I have a Great White tank with the dual valve setup. While certainly not necessary, the second gauge allows me to see tank pressure at all times on one gauge and check line pressure in relation to the gauge on the gun with the second gauge. A nice feature.
