Hello all. Been lurking here for years now. I just recently got back into air gunning and with the advent of super low cost rifles and pumps i have joined the pcp ranks. I have a wildfire for general fun and some close range pests. Amazon recently put the Hatsan at44s-10 on sale for $248 dollars so of course i had to "pull the trigger" . Rifle arrived in great shape minus the fill probe and magazines. So frustrating. Started the return process and my replacement finally shipped after 4 days but according to the tracking is still 4 days away???? Pretty displeased with the whole transaction at this point but the price saving is going to allow me to justify adding some goodies the this rifle. My plan is to shot the original rifle and the replacment and keep the better of the 2 and send back the other one (i will say the generous return window does work in my favor) Any quick clues or tips to detirmine whick is the keeper? .177 caliber non qe version. I dont have a chrono and 95% of my shooting is done at 20 yards (the distance from my porch to the edge of my property) I have a 2.5x10x40 scope for the rifle but would really like to be able to tell the better shooter without having to scope up. And yes the obvious shot pellets thru both and see whick is more accurate will play a big part.
