New to PCP air guns, wish I came to this site sooner!

Look at tanks that have dual gauges, one for filling the other for pressure in the tank, makes filling much simpler. Joe Brancatto of AirtanksforSale/TopGunAirguns carries these gauges with different size tanks. This one is a Great White Tank that is 90 cu/ft. You also need a way to fill these tanks whether your own compressor or a nearby Dive shop 👍.

Honestly if you don't have a compressor and have to get it filled, your money is better spent buying a compressor than a tank.. A tank and compressor is ideal if you plan to throw some lead. By what you've told us you aren't scared to spend a few dollars on this "addiction", so save yourself the headache. If you like to shoot you'll end up with both eventually. I started with a dirt cheap shoe box compressor that gave me my monies worth for just filling a gun, but I would recommend a compressor capable of filling a tank.

I picked up a 4500psi compressor on Amazon for my Notos. This was after I tried a bike style hand pump haha. I live in the city so I need to go to the range to do any long range shooting. I guess I should have mentioned that earlier. The reason I'm thinking about a tank is just to get more rounds off before I fill.

As said above. Buy a tank that is DOT certified or a shop won’t fill it. Very important. Majority of ones sold on Amazon and eBay aren’t. On eBay you can get acecare dot tanks. If buying used keep in mind they only have a 15 yr life for professional fills and have to be hydro tested every 5 years. So check the dates stamped on the tanks.

Picked up a Notos few months ago, and just bought a Karma SLS compact. Thinking about picking up an external tank for it, any recommendations?
What compressor do you have? Budget air cooled compressors at the most are capable of filling a 1-2L tank. If you want to fill 6.8L tanks you need a water cooled compressor.
When i started out, I bought a vevor shoebox, and it was capable of filling guns only (i still have it, it works fine). Once I bought tanks I had to get a water cooled compressor to fill them.

This is the one I bought. I think you're right it will only fill my guns.

You need a 5 gallon water bucket, and i have a fan blowing across the motor to keep it cool. Both will work fine the twin cylinder is faster.

Actually for range a smaller or pair of smaller tanks your compressor can handle is better. With a pair of 1.1L tank tethered to your rifle you can get hundreds of rounds and not have to refill.

I have a dual cylinder Tuxing compressor and I just take either a 2L or 3L tank in a backpack with a long hose. My hand gets tired pulling the lever before I run out of air.

I picked up a Gamo Urban and figured it would be a good first PCP and one I will give to one of my boys. I grew up shooting a Benjamin Sheridan my dad gave me when I was 8. That was almost 45 years ago and it is still accurate. Shot a crow at 30 yards with it last week but that 10 stroke pump gets old for any target shooting.
I had no idea until recently that air rifles had progressed this far and cost this much!
