How does the IR light come on? I push the IR button but the little flashlight doesn't come on. But I can put the red dot on

Assuming your looking through the scope when turning on the light? Can't see the IR with the naked eye Otherwise I'm not sure what else it could be. Battery powers the entire scope I believe so shouldn't be a battery issue or the scope wouldn't turn on. Or there could be a potential issue with it.

You hold the button (3 seconds I think) and you'll hear a click almost and the display turns to black and white for IR mode. Then short presses cycles through IR 1, 2 and 3.
You can pull the little IR light as well and itll focus more, or give a IR flood light when its pressed in.
The stock light is surprisingly good, but I only use it for Coyotes. For rats I clip a dual 18650 unit on either side of the impact. Works out to a lonnng ways and one battery will last 6-8 hours when not using the built in unit.
