Your logic makes sense. I'll grab a few tins next time I place an order.At first glance it’s weird but it will make sense after I explain what I think is going on.
The AA Falcons are the same weight but use a different mold which gives them a deeper cavity and no “neck” between the head and the skirt compared to the JSBs. To maintain the same weight this shape difference results in a slightly thinner skirt toward the bottom of the pellet on the Falcons. During the air compression phase the Falcons thinner skirt seals better to the barrel, either providing the pellet with more “pop” or less air escapes around the skirt during the acceleration phase.
Well, that’s my hypothesis. There is a visible difference in the shape of both pellets despite the same weight.
