New to me Ripley AR5

I was offered this rifle a few weeks ago and had a pretty good fire sale here on the classifieds to get the cash together. Today I got to pick her up. Man is she pretty. Nice walnut complexion and thick in the right places. 

I got a few groups in when I got home but it was right at 113 degrees so I decided my time would be better spent drinking margaritas in the pool.

Rifle is #40 built back in 1992.

All I can saw is wow! It's already 90 here but wanted a few shots. This is as off my knee. Target is about 40 yards, five shots.

Trigger feels about the same as my old Daystate Huntsman but lighter. The bolt feels like closing a heavy safe door. Not heavy but purposeful. Zero slop.

Very nice indeed. Shot a couple that belonged to others and enjoyed. When you miss it was you, solid and beautiful. Missing the B51 yet? Naturally you need to replace the orings every 10 to 20 years-as all the classics were made- add air and apply pellets directly to target but that's about it. Congratulations.

I am sure I will miss the BAM. They are great rifles. You just have to be willing to smooth out the ruff points. Dirt simple to work on.
