New to me raw hm1000x

Get some gas leak detection spray and cover all the high pressure fittings, including Q/F and gauge, any bubbles will indicate a leak, also with the bolt locked forward, smear a little soap solution over the end of the lcd, a bubble there will indicate a valve sealing issue.

report back for further advice.

Better still, I strongly recommend you join the rapid 7 owners club, while it mainly covers all things rapid there are some members who own RAWs and to be honest most of the part are the same anyway. The technical section has all the pfd’s you are likely to need and good advice on how to do it.

Raw’s and rapids are great guns, but with a few upgrades they can be made a whole lot better.

So I turned the plastic spacers down in the ldc to just under 20 mm rewrapped with scotch bright and vet wrap than used tight fitting orings to help hold it in place also angled the holes back towards the muzzle wondering if felt would help out more with noise or maybe polyfill . I know poly fill is used to create more surface area in subwoofer boxes to make the boxes seem bigger than they are any thoughts that anyone

I just use craft felt, I cut it into ribbons that are the same width as the cage length. Apply a small amount of contact adhesive to the cage then wrap the felt around that, try where possible to use complete turns, usually 3-4times around, then glue the tag end down. The blast of air is capable of blowing the felt out of position, the glue helps to keep everything in place. For what it’s worth, I fine scotch bright a very poor wading material.

Another very good wading material is 4mm chiropody felt ( non adhesive type)

I was kind thinking the same thing about the scotch bright I'll have to pick up some felt . My air leak was the oring on the bottle . I measured the size I was using and got the spares I was sent with the gun found the one that looked like it fit the bottle it was about .010 thicker that sealed it up. It held pressure overnight . I ordered another magazine to

Bucketboy What kind of upgrades do you suggest to make the gun better

There are a few things, probably in this order.

ptfe spring guides and slip rings (these help to stop twang)

silent hammer pip.(reduces impact noise)

replace the pu core of the reg with one made from delrin then engineer the endfloat rather than compression of the brass adjuster collar o ring. (Makes the reg more consistent)

Replace the probe with one similar to that in the “raw report” thread ( eliminates blow back, increase power)

ptfe hammer support sleeve ( stabilises the hammer, reduces noise, better consistency)

better valve, (more power, better consistency)

I recommend you join the R7OC, rapids are basically the same as RAW, but have been around a whole lot longer so many the upgrades that have evolved over the years are compatible with your gun.
