New to me Beeman Super 12

Bought this rifle as part of a package deal recently. I am amazed at how accurate it is. Not to mention that it works flawlessly.

I know it's a Theoben Rapid in Beeman labeling. But could anyone who knows more please respond with some history on this one? I've been reading a lot of blogs on it, but nothing substantial concerning the actual history. 

I am curious about what kind of barrel and trigger are on it. Also, aside from the carbon fiber upgrade, what else can be done? I saw the quick fill adapter but I think it is unsightly.

More than likely it has a LW barrel. The specs should be exactly the same as the same period Rapid.

There are several upgrades available. Check out the RAW site. The parts/accessories section give you several options. There is a quick fill option available which utilities the blanking plug at the bottom of the breech block. I have a quick fill gauge combo on my RAW MFR. The quick fill is located at the bottom of the stock similar to the FX Boss, and the gauge is at an angle at the top under the barrell.

Check out additional options from Best Fittings, Dr. Bob, and Huma For the new regulator. Alan Z also modifies the bottle for a quick fill. Take your pick.

I picked one up here in SA from a pawn shop for a good deal a few years back. I have the carbine version of yours and my understanding, which maybe wrong, was that the early .25cals had Anshutz barrels. The triggers are the Gamo units but mine is pretty smooth so I havent put an after market trigger on it. I had mine resealed by Martin at RAW and he told me that the early .25cals max out at around 40fpe because of the valving in the block, mine is a carbine so its at about 34-36fpe. Ive thought about adding a quickfil from Best Fittings but I've just kept it as is. I get plenty of shots and its pretty accurate.

Admittedly I haven't given it the attention it deserves, been side tracked with kids, work and other airguns.
