Howdy all,
I have a Gamo Viper .177 w/ Gamo 3-9x40 optic. Decided I wanted to move up. Fell in love with the Sig ASP 20 only to find out they jumped out of the airgun industry as fast as they jumped in.
Went with a Diana N-tec 340 premium in .22 with an Athlon Talos 4-16x40 from A of A. Last one they had.
While waiting for it to arrive, joined this and another forum. After reading numerous posts, I feel compelled to ask, can I take it out of the box, load it and shoot it?....Ooorrrr, must it be completely disassembled, cleaned, polished, oiled, all parts replaced with custom parts, the barrel lapped and crowned, the optic thrown in the trash and replaced with a “proper optic”, and then taken to various religious organizations to be “ blessed and sanctified “?
I feel like there are people on these forums that, if they received a new heart, the moment they got home, they would split their chest, take it out, “tune” it and put it back in.
Thank you. Looking forward to the replies.
David
