New to air guns

I started with handpumps and will go back to using them if my Yong Heng breaks. They are also very portable. But if you want to start with a compressor, the Yong Heng is a relatively powerful compressor that takes up a fair bit of room due to the water cooling of the second stage. It can be used to fill a SCBA tank or guns directly. The GX pumps can't be used to fill bottles in any practical way but will fill guns given more time and can work on batteries, 12V or 120V. Much more portable and take up less space. Useful add-on moisture separators are not expensive and a good idea with any of the inexpensive compressors - especially the Yong Heng. I use a fairly small black on with my Yong Heng and it is filled with color changing dessicant. It takes a lot of fills for the dessicant to change color. So I think it is enough. I got my compressor from Amazon and at least most of the things I've added to it there too. On the compressor their easy return process was worth any minor price difference to me.

When shopping for a PCP Compressor, be sure to buy a brand that has a resource for maintenance kits and repair parts. Don’t expect any PCP compressor to run maintenance free, and run forever!
Also, don’t get into the mind set of buying a PCP Compressor (i.e. Yong Heng from Walmart) and replace it under warranty everytime it has issues, because you didn’t maintain it properly.

I would recommend considering the Tuxing Brand, as they have a resource (Amazon, eBay, AliExpress) for maintenance kits, repair parts, and instructional videos to maintain their PCP hand pump and AC/12V DC Compressor products.

I bought the Tuxing Model TXET063. I chose this direct fill compressor model for the built in AC/DC Power Supply, Digital Control System LCD display, Set-Pressure/Auto Stop feature and it operates Oil/Water free.

The regular umarex airsaber is the best buy that I have made in pcp. Got mine for $230.00 on clearance. I put a UTG 130 yard bed crossbow scope on it. I can hit the target at 120 yards. Trigger good stock nice no complaints. A $300 Airsaber will shoot with any ravin or 10 point crossbow and I'd say last slot longer. If you are mechanical inclined a cheap compressor will work.
