R&L airguns has a .22 taipan veteran “long” version on their site. I wonder if it’s just a longer tube and Barrel? There is no pics on the website.

They do. They have the STD as overall length 27 7/8. The LONG they have as overall length 31 3/4. Interesting. Standing by for more details.

No clue, someone over at the GTA forum purchased one and is waiting for it to come in.. I’m curious to see how it looks and performs. I’ve always wanted a taipan!

Long version has a 550mm barrel. Kind of defeats the purpose of a compact bullpup. Sure would be nice in a conventional rifle stock and easier to hold for accuracy.

I agree with you (luke). However, over the years of owing a good number of airguns the one thing I found is that bullpups are IMO much more easy to shoulder then your traditional style of sport stock with most of the weight shifted to the back. Even longer bullpups. I know the point being that bullpups are to be more compact yet why put a longer barrel on one? Im all for it. Same reasons to put a longer barrel on a traditional design.

Well they still have their “short” which is very compact. I’m hoping the long can achieve a little more power to push slugs. Time will tell.
