New Taipan Veteran .25 Long.

This just arrived today and I am pumped. Taipan Veteran .25 Long with a Sumo moderator and an Aztec Emerald 5.5 X- 25 X 50 FFP to mount on it. I ordered it from Talon Tunes. Tony was great to deal with .The day after I placed the order HE called me to thank me for my order and discuss what I wanted. One week later it is here. Tomorrow I will mount the scope and hopefully get a few shots in. Woo hoo!

Here another Veteran owner here. Did you do the Tune offered by Talon Tunes? If not you might want to play with HST a bit. This rifles shot really hot out of the box.

Ill recommend the mag holders, I cannot live without them.

This gun in .25 is on my next to buy list and I'm really thinking strongly on a Dreamline in .22.... We all must be crazy but wow I love this poop !!!!! Anyway my Veteran .22 has become my go to pester as of late! The trigger is fonominal and getting 60+ shots from a 240 bar fill at 904fps. With a 14fps spread...18.1 JSBs.

I can shoot slugs and pellets with my Taipan with great accuracy, not pellet picky at all. I’m not so sure about the dreamline yet. A lot of FX owners are still waiting for the slug liners while I’m alreading shooting slugs. Don’t listen to me, I love my Taipan, I must be bias lol Just heck my profile picture....

Mine is the Veteran Standard, not the Long, and I modified the HST to shoot the 25.39gr at around 905fps so I don't know if you want to know my answer, but mine IS accurate!!!

Oh it will do it and very accurately!

The .25 has a lothar walther barrel and the .22 has a CZ barrel but both are superbly accurate. My .22 will do over 1000fps with 18.1 JSBs if I crank it up! But after some testing it's most accurate at around 900 where I have it set now...

That’s correct. It doesn’t have as large of an air reservoir as a .25 Cricket so not as many shots at this power ~ 25 to 30 but yes, accuracy and power is on the money

I’m asking because at around 900fps I’m getting around 50 shots from 250bar to 100bar and mine is the standard. At 900 Im getting aroung 40fpe more than enough for hunting....my main application

100 bar is quite a bit under the regulated pressure! Im sure the reg is set at least to 125 bar...And if your shooting 33 grainers at 900fps that's more like 59fpe....
