New steel target

Ordered a new target for my springers/ 22’s. Has 5 rows of 5 aiming holes. It’s a lot more fun when shooting groups and getting that gong sound. The hole size is .215.

Nice job. You get way more shots on the plate with organized holes. The bigger the plate the louder the gong. Have one two foot square and have to chop it, way too loud. Enjoy your target. Crow.
Looks good but you go through a few tins of paint and sand paper.

‘Went through 16 cans last year. Your right.

A friend and I split a 4 x 4 sheet of steel and had 12 inch squares cut, then we drilled 1/8 inch holes just like yours. This type of target is fantastic, durable and fun! It never needs more than a bit of spray paint to refresh it.

The only downside to shooting steel is the noise. So I bolted 1 inch thick, rubber horse mat to the back, and it really cuts down the noise level.

I’ve put weather stripping on the back of mine to quite it down just a touch.
