Just took delivery of my new HW50 in .177 and Soo glad I settled on this model! I was thinking of getting the HW95 as a lightweight hunter/pester/plinker. Thing is,I wanted something easy to shoot ,easy to cock, had enough steam to bag squirrels/rabbits and lug through the woods.
I read some reviews that complained about high cocking effort (!?!) and thankfully dismissed them. It was a little twangy so I put about 200 rds through it today and fiddled with it some...nothing excessive, and it's settling down some. Very accurate! Dime size 25 yd groups, and I'm sure it will improve some as it breaks in.
All said,it's a Very nice looking little rifle thanks in part to the well thought out Minnelli stock. I just want to give a shout-out to NoLandBeyond for recommending this to me! Great Advice! Thank You Sir!!
