New silver Impact - updated colors and fill port cover

It looks like they've changed the silver version of the Impact slightly. The silver portions look a little darker and the butt stock is all black instead of the silver/black combo shown in the manual and FX website.

My rifle came with the new style case and also the enlarged fill port. However it appears FX is no longer including a dust cover? My dealer added a paintball magnetic fill cover but it doesn't cover the entire opening like some other covers I've seen. 

Does anyone sell a dust cover that will cover the whole opening?

Interesting color scheme. Can you take a pic of your fill port, trying to see what you mean by enlarged. Is it longer, so that its not a pain in the rear to fill? I can't tell with the nipple cover on it.

It looks like the edges of the port are beveled out to make grabbing the foster easier. I added more pics to the original post.

I use a plastic snap on cover which has a tether to keep from loosing it. Simple, cheap, and replaceable.

I see what you mean, you are referring to the flare on the receiver being enlarged, correct? If so mine is like that's well. Seems like they just chamfered a bit of the metal. I have not had the opportunity to try the earlier models where it was not chamfered, but I am sure I would not like that experience. Because even with the chamfer it's very difficult to remove the female Forster fitting. It requires you to use needle nose pliers to remove the fitting after a fill.

I'm not aware of any internal changes but I suppose its possible. I only noticed the obvious cosmetic exterior changes.

Mine came from AOA recently with a magnetic fill port cap. It's also silver. It's been great, except that the power is lower than it should be, so it's packed and waiting for the UPS guy to take it back to AOA for a look. It's spooky accurate at 50 yds, so I'll be happy to get it back assuming they can get the velocity up to where it should be.

I can't say, because I didn't look that closely at it, and it's packed up now . It's very similar if not the same.

Here's the thread with all the numbers. Bottom line was that I couldn't get over 885 fps or so with 18.1 gr .22 cal. It should get well into the 900s.
