New Sights for an old Blue Streak

I think, based upon it's serial number, my blue streak was made in 1972. I bought it as a teenager. I haven't shot it a lot but every once in awhile it comes out. I never liked the way I had to mount a scope on it so I recently bought a Williams peep sight. I had to drill and tap a couple 6x48 holes in the receiver and I got them a little slanted but they work fine. I like the peep sight a lot better. It is handier for pumping it and I seem to be getting decent accuracy. I hit a 2 inch swinging target three times in a row at 25 yards shortly before sending this. The front sight is nearly the same width as the target at this distance.

Nice job drilling and tapping! I have one on my 397, and I love it. Mine came pre-drilled and tapped for the sight. You get a few inches more sight length and that really helps in the accuracy department. It also relieves the stress of the rear sight on the barrel, reducing the risk of separation. Those .20 cals are awesome and yours looks great with that sight on it. Enjoy!

Thanks guys.

I don't know the number of the sight, it doesn't seem to be marked. But I got it from Amazon, it was sold as fitting a Benjamin Blue Streak and it does.

Mine has no letter next to the number. I've read they did that some years but apparently not at the time mine was made.
It's the Williams model 5D-SH
