New scope recommendations

Hey everybody. I'm in the market for some new glass. I currently have a Vortex 4-16x44 and it's perfect for hunting small game. I'd like to purchase something a little "nicer" with more magnification, for one of my other rifles. Have 4 requirements:

1: 6-24 or something, I've got enough headway for a 56mm fyi.

2: FFP

3: MIL/MIL

4: 1200 dollar max

Hit me! (James Brown voice)

It's a big boy scope but if I had $1200 to spend on a scope it's where it'd go. Also checkout the Midas Tac 6-24x50 excellent scope around $630. Or Ares BTR. I have had the Midas Tac 6-24x50 and now the Midas Tac 4-16x44. Absolutely amazing scopes for the money and damn hard to beat.

Also Arkens are amazing for there price also. I've had the 4-14x44 SH-4 and just unreal for $350. My next scope will be the EP-4 4-16x50 with SHR reticle in MIL.

I have definitely considered Athlon's, DairyBoy. I've had the pleasure of looking through them in person. Very nice stuff! I guess I want to put my "big boy pants" on and finally buy a real nice quality scope. I have so many nice guns and they all have Vortex stuff, only because my budget (as always) is max gun, bull**** optic. 😆

Itch has gotta get scratched. I mean, I can milk a couple hundred or something extra outta the wife if I'm a good boy til then.

Save just a little bit more than $1200.00 this is my next scope I'm buying. Don't pay too much for a Chinese scope the markup is just plain stupid. This one is JAPAN MADE. I think it's probably going to be the KING of all $2000.00 and under scopes including the Vortex Razor as Cyclops Joe reviewed recently.

The only other FFP cheaper I can recommend is the Vector Continental 5-30x56 34mm if it HAS TO BE a CHINESE SCOPE that's FFP with a LIFETIME warranty.

My little Cheapie $229 AIM Sports Alpha6 4.5-27x50 unfortunately contrary to your preference is a SFP. You may want to look through one of these 4.5-27x50 Alpha6s and compare clarity and brightness to any of the higher dollar scopes before spending your hard earned money. May be a wake up call.

All scopes made in CHINA should AT LEAST BE AS BRIGHT AND CLEAR AT MAX POWER LIKE THIS $229 ONE. Then the CHINESE scope world be just fine.

That's some good insight there. I also follow Cyclops on YT and was impressed by his Tract Toric review regardless that 1700 to me is basically 2 grand lol. You make some good points, and this is exactly why I was trying to keep a middle ground around 1000-1200 max. I would most definitely like the most clarity, low light performance and robustness for my money. Maybe if I wait it out and keep replaying Joe's Tract vids, I may gain the patience to save a little longer. Thanks, because honestly, I know nothing of good quality glass. I can work turrets, gather DOPE and call wind, all the field basics, but have never owned a LEGIT scope. Most normal people don't spend this kind of money on a scope anyhow until they try PRS or shooting sports. I shoot archery too. Bows themselves bare can start at 1k. My Bowtech compound rig is tricked out to the max, at least 2500 into that sucker, shoot 3D, Hunter Class. It's all about how serious you wanna get I guess huh?
