This gun is immaculate! It was love at first sight. Except I ordered it in .22 and received a .177!!

Sad thing is I don’t want to return it now. I want to keep it! But now I have this .22 pellet sampler that I have no use for. Bummer!

I am probably gonna keep this gun just like it is. I wonder if I can exchange my straightshooters pellet sampler for a .177 one, hehe.

Well this one isn’t going back. Funny I don’t even feel miffed, not one little bit. I just wish I had a .177 sampler instead of .22!

Range day tomorrow will be RWS Supermag, Crosman Copper Mag, JSB Hades, Crosman Hollow Point, Crosman Ultra Mag, H&N Barracuda Hunter.

I have high hopes for the Barracuda Hunters and RWS Supermag. They put the smack in smack down!

This gun is something else. The only prep I did was mount the scope, tighten the stock screws to 25 inch-pounds, and run a old dry airgun bore snake through it a half dozen passes.

Here is my first 5 shots at 25 yards with just plain old Crosman hollow points:

Every single pellet I ran through this gun shot less than 1” at 25 yards. At 50 yards, despite the breeze today, I have two that I can count on for less than 1.25” for 5 shots. There have been no fouling rounds, no warm ups, none of that nonsense. I am thinking about posting a down and dirty review with range pics.

I totally get it now. Weihrauch is just a better gun in every way, than any other springer I have ever shot. Better materials, better fit and finish, more accurate, better balance.

I am so glad I took y’all’s advice and picked the R9 over the HW80/R1.

My R9 177 likes the H&N's too. About 1/4 inch ctc at 20 yards NP 5 shots. Bought on auction site a few years ago. I bid $249 and forgot about it. Got an email I won. I had the cheapo RWS 2-7x32 take off scope. Put it on with a used muzzle brake I also had. Has a little pressure mark above the trigger. Not bad. The comb is too high to use the iron sights that came with. Just saying. Awesome gun I could put a better scope on but it just works. I have a couple 2-7x32 Hawkes not IR. I even thought about a vintage Hakko/Tasco airgun scope that's been sitting around here.

You'll be glad you have the 177. I have one in .22 as well but prefer this caliber.
